About The Author

Kelly Clegg was born in 1982 in Leytonstone in the east end of London. She has lived in and around London for most of her life.

From the time when she was able, to construct sentences she has been trying to write stories and poetry. Since then not much had changed, except her handwriting, but not much – she still scribbles words of implausible shape or meaning as she did as a child. As a girl, her favourite letter was T and she bugged her parents constantly by pointing out every T that she came across on her journeys. Now she loves all the letters in the alphabet (except for the letter S, which she is told she writes the wrong way up!) and bugs everyone constantly to read the ones that she puts to paper.

This is yet another project that she has started and she is beginning to wonder – if she continues writing so many different things, will her real life disappear into the world of the imaginary – she sincerely hopes so.

Hi Sarah, yes it is hard having kids and getting the time to write, but it drives you harder. When you only have a spare few minutes to write a day, you use them minutes wisely. They also help you experience a whole range of emotions that you never feel before you have kids, which i find useful for writing.

As for Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, no I haven’t, but I was just talking to Andy about it and he says we should get it. So looks like I will be in the future!!!
